The product is a great mattress protector: it went on easily without tearing; thicker, more durable fabric; and a nice padded top. It does nothing for bed bugs, however. We bought this product because we knew we had a problem, and after less than two months we ended up throwing both it and the mattresses away. While removing the protector, we noticed that bed bugs had no problem passing through the protector all the way around the sides and bottom (as shown by the "red marks" around the seams) and even living/laying eggs that attach to the protector itself. I would not recommend this product for use in prevention of bed bugs.
