i bought this as a regular mattress pad that i thought would have an added benefit of being waterproof--in case my 130lb dog ever had an accident. this thing is not soft, at all; it didn't fit my mattress; and every time i sat on my bed it would crackle. at night when i moved around it would roll off the corners of the bed--under the sheets--and ball up and cause huge lumps. it was off the bed and in the garbage after 3 nights.

I bought this for a standard king-sized mattress. It fits horribly. I have a deep mattress. It is large enough to cover the mattress, but it does not stay in place. It shifts constantly and comes off of the corners, taking your fitted sheet with it.
Also, I realized it was waterproof, but it makes an awful noise when you move on the bed. It's basically an inexpensive plastic lining that sounds like a giant diaper when you move!
