Do not waste your money on this cheap quality product. We recently had a bug problem and got the mattress treated by a PCO. I bought this online after doing a lot of research. These guys offered a good price and promised 100% protection against bed bugs, dust mites blah blah... We own a cal king size bed. Hence, we had ordered the Protect -a- bed box spring covers and the mattress encasement. What a disappointment! I was utterly shocked that the cover ripped the very first time we tried to put it on. Helloo..it's a cal king size bed! How careful can you be?? It is almost like covering the whole bed with a giant peace of Kleenex...only difference is the top is double layered!! Ok..what next? We had to get a good night's sleep. So I put some duct tape on the torn areas.. (about 5 to 6 holes)..thought we could sleep peacefully after that. Next morning I see a few more bites on myself and my 2 year old. So we called the customer service of protect-a-bed. They said this product has no...Read more

For the price paid for the Buglock encasement, I don't feel it's durable enough. The box spring or mattress rubbing against the bed frame created holes in the encasement which renders the product useless.
Note: Our exterminator mentioned that your encasement should not be removed for one year.

I have a queen sized bed, and I ordered the buglock mattress and box spring encasements. The box spring encasement came with felt pads for the contact points with the frame, and after judicious application of duct tape to all sharp edges and burrs on the frame I put the cover on the box spring and the mattress, by myself, without tearing either. This is a good product, and sturdy considering what it is. It has to be thin or it would detract from the comfort of the mattress. You just have to be extremely careful not to rip it. Ignore other reviewers who say it's not worth the money, just be very careful and you'll get your moneys worth. Also, leave them on the bed for AT LEAST a year, and certainly don't wash them, they go under the sheets, just wash the sheets.
