Convoluted Foam Mattress Pads, Queen Size 4" Thickness

I have had one of these for years for back problems and loved it! It was given to me by the hospital, but eventually it wore out and no longer had the support. I wanted a new one because I loved the old one so much. I was happy to find it on line and ordered it immediately. So here comes the problem. It arrived at my house balled up and flattened. If it is flattened there is no support. Secondly I bought a queen size and It is a full at best. So now I have my brand new mattress cover I wanted so badly and it does not fit a regular queen size bed. I think if you buy this in a bigger size and from some else that has it packaged properly you will be pleased. I am not. I purchased it from usa medicals.

When it comes in the mail it is rolled into a bag and takes a while to straighten out; the spikes are also flattened and not sticking up like they should be (I slept on it for like 2 months before it got entirely straightened and the spikes finally started to stick up/out). It also smells a little in the begininning, but just use it and the smell will eventually go away (like in one to two months also).

As for the comfort, it is great. Nice and comfy. I never had a problem sleeping before this, but I have always had back aches when I woke in the morning. I have to admit that since using this my back aches have largely gone away or not been as bad as before.

After having experienced increasing back pain for the past few years, I was ready to purchase a new mattress. My husband, however, was very, very happy with our current mattress. In order to compromise, I thought we could try a foam topper. After some research, I chose this pad and I woke up the first morning pain free! A few caveats, based on my expectations from reading other reviews: I purchased this to deal with a hard mattress issue; not one that had begun to sag. I think the pad would make that situation much worse, not better, as it would amplify the wave. I purchased from the vendor with the highest satisfaction rating, rather then the lowest cost. The pad was folded and rolled and arrived as a large package that quickly flattened out. Of course, the fitted sheet helped that situation too. There was no odor.
