I purchased this hoping it would work as described. Although cooler than your "bed temperature" in the first few minutes, after that the material in it gets extremely hot where you end up sweating. This is NOT what was expected of a cool mat! It is now unable to even be used, and this is an expensive price for something you can't use.

BEWARE before buying. This is NOT what you are looking for if you are looking to stay cool throughout the night.

Bought this for my girlfriend who is having a hard time adjusting to my amazingly comfortable pillow top mattress. She basically overheats at night (I think it's because she's excited to be sleeping next to me but...) so I bought this to see if it would help with the problem. It does help her stay fairly cool initially, but it eventually heats up and the only good it does is keep her from sinking into the pillow top. Probably wouldn't buy again for the price, but it has helped a little bit...
