The warming pad provides continual and even bed warmth throughout the night. Provides sleep inducing heat from below that is so soothing, like soaking in a tub of warm water. For extra comfort, place the ElectroWarmth pad on the mattress first, then add a regular mattress pad with a fitted sheet on top. This will help keep the pad clean and fresh but if the need arises it is machine washable. When you use the ElectroWarmth heated mattress pad you can turn down your home thermostat setting and save on your heating bills. To operate, the warming pad is equipped with two Comfort Controls. The two-control design allows bed occupants with different heat preferences to set and adjust temperatures for each side of the bed; heat levels increase from LO, 2 to 9, and HI settings. The mattress pad has a quick heat up feature on all settings, it comes on at high for a period of time then drops back to the setting you select, you don't even see this convenient feature. It also automatically shuts off heat after ten hours for extra safety, user convenience, and power conservation. When you turn the pad back on it comes back on at the last setting so you don't have to change the setting very often. The warming pad is ETL Approved and one of the benefits of this approval is that the unit shuts off if there is ever an overheat situation. A fitted skirt that wraps all the way around holds the pad in place and accommodates mattresses up to 13 inches thick. Available in sizes to fit all beds. I purchased this queen mattress pad because it had the option of having only one remote and that's what I really wanted. It was intended to be for my second home as I already have one in my main home. When I opened this pad today I could immediately feel the wires in it right through the fabric. It also has a big direction/warning sheet (approx 6x8 in size) that's made of very stiff paper right on the top corner of the pad so when you are in bed, it would end up being right under your pillow where you could certainly feel it (and hear it) through your sheet. After paying twice the amount as I did my original mattress pad, I would expect at least equal or better quality. This one is already in the package to be returned. The cheaper pads out there are far better than this one!

We've had our heated matress pad for about two weeks. We bought it because it was the only one we could find anywhere in full size with two controls. The workmanship and materials of the pad are fantastic! Much better than anything we found in stores, which of course didn't have the dual contols we wanted. The contols seem to work fine, but it is very frustrating that you can't read them in the dark. You have to push the on/off switch or the heat up or down buttons to activate the light. And only after fing the control in the dark. Many simiar products have contols that are easy to glance at in the dark and tell whether they are turned on and what they are set at. The dark control issue aside, I highly recommend this product.

I'm a big fan of heated mattress pads (vs electric blankets). They seem to last longer (I've had several electric blankets break in the last few years), the heat is more even, and I like the heat from below rather than above. I've used an electric mattress pad on my own bed for several years now and been very happy with it. I picked up this twin-size pad for my 8 year old son, who was envious of my warm bed. He loves it! We turn it on about 15 minutes before bed, and he always climbs into a warm bed. We usually turn it off after he gets into bed, but on some cold nights he's left it on "Low" and gone right to sleep. It's a great feeling to have a warm bed, especially when the house is cold!
