HoMedics Smart Sense TechnologyBy using an advanced air control system to delicately control the deflation rate of the monitor, Smart Sense technology efficiently analyzes and detects pulse signals while adjusting the cuff pressure accordingly. This advanced system offers highly accurate and comfortable blood pressure and pulse readings. Smart Inflate technology determines both the systolic and diastolic pressure during the inflation time, which results in a dramatically shorter measurement time. Best of all, the HoMedics BPW-101 gives you all of these measurements with one-touch operation: You simply strap the cuff onto your wrist, push a button, and Smart Sense does the rest.
When you take your blood pressure, the HoMedics BPW-101 automatically compares your results with the standards set by the World Health Organization. The monitor also averages the results with your last three

I bought this as a gift for my dad, who suffers from high blood pressure. He always complained about carrying his old monitor with him because it was hard to use. This one is so simple, even my dad can't find anythign to complain about. Conveniently He even carries it with him when he travels. He is a lot more conscientious about his BP now.

I have had high blood pressure previously and this product is great! Very easy to use the large numbers make it easy to ready. I especially like the compact size and storage case. It's great for home use as well as on the road. This product could actually save a life. I would definitely recommend it to friends.

Product is easy to read, good instruction booklet, and fairly simple to use, but I cannot get a good blood pressure reading. I've taken my pressure using this cuff and then had a nurse friend of mine using a BP cuff around the bicep take a reading and where she gets a normal reading, I have yet to get a systolic reading below 180 or a diastolic under 110. I've got to assume that if I am getting readings this bad every day and they are correct I would have had a heart attack by now. When I go to the doctor's the readings are invariably between 120-130/70-90. The problem could very easily be me, and I have large wrists so don't go just by my judgment.
