HoMedics Eco Therap Topper, Queen Size, White

I just picked up the hometics topper and similar to the review before, was sorely dissapointed by the fit. We have a queen bed and the topper did not reach either end of the bed. Additionally, it smelled like checmiclals, which was the whole point of purchasing something eco friendly...ie. to avoid chemical smells.
We'll be taking this topper back tomorrow.

My husband and I wanted a dense pillow topper for our new mattress, which did not come with one. This topper met all our requirements for softness and eco-friendly. When we put it on our queen size Sterns and Foster mattress, the topper did not reach to the edges of the bed. It was way off. We thought it would stretch but it didn't. In the meantime we ordered another one(queen size) for the guest room double bed since the topper was not offered in a double size version. The queen size fits great! Don't buy the queen for your queen size bed. The California kings looks to be too wide for a queen mattress. Also, the second topper smelled of chemicals. The smell did not dissipate as it did with the first topper. We sent the second one back and are using the first topper on the double bed. Too bad the queen didn't fit. What mattress company did HoMetics use to determine what the width of the topper should be for a queen? As I mentioned, our mattress did not have a build- in topper.
