Summary: Worth the $$, however...... 2010-09-08
Comment: This was certainly worth the $$ I paid for it; however, it was not exactly top of the line or "premium" as described. Next time, I will pay a little bit more and get a better quality. The terry cloth was rough feeling and the backing was not as soft as I expected. It's so difficult sometimes to order sight unseen.

Comment: Despite comments from other consumers about the tight fit, I took a chance and ordered the Malouf mattress protector. Sad to say, it didn't fit. I wasn't able to stretch the mattress pad over my new foam mattress. I plan to return the item -- this is the first item I've purchased from Amazon that warrants a refund!

Comment: We have a memory foam mattress and we have been using a regular mattress pad/cover which we really don't need. This mattress protector is perfect for the memory foam mattress which fits over the mattress nicely and we can feel the softness of the mattress, and it doesn't trap heat while sleeping on it. We can't even tell that there is a mattress cover on the mattress and it's very comfortable.

Comment: This is basically a mattress cover made of low quality terry-cloth lined with a plasticky material. From the description of the product, one would think that a lot of science went into the development of this product since it talks about dust mite prevention. Frankly, it's probably no different than putting down a plastic drop cloth ($1 at the dollar store)and a sheet over that. As for the 15 year warranty, it's just a marketing gimmick. Due to its skimpiness, I'd be surprised it come out intact after the first wash. It is way over-priced for what it is.

Summary: Best price around for a quality product 2010-08-29
Comment: I didn't want to pay $75-$100 on a king cover, so came to Amazon. After looking at them all, I found this cover to have the best price and most positive remarks to cover my temperpedic mattress. Lo and behold, my whippet peed the bed (he had never done this before) the very night I put this cover on. I jerked the cover off, washed it again, and put it back on the protected bed. Sooooo thankful.
