Luna hypoallergenic pillow protectors are American Made and offer the latest in breathable waterproof technology. Luna pillow protectors protect against bed bugs, fluids, allergens and dust mites. Using Luna Airflow Technology, air is able to pass through the pillow protector, but harmful bed bugs, dust mites, and bacteria are repelled. Summary: THE BEST 2010-08-30
Comment: Luna has my business for life if the product remains this great. When you think waterproof you picture plastic, crinkly and loud. These are soft, quiet and wonderful. I got them initially for my toddler's bed and then got a set to use for our bedroom as well - they're better than even the high-end mattress protectors from most department stores.

Comment: We had purchased a queen Luna Mattress Protector before and have been very happy with the product. We recently purchased a zippered mattress encasement and pillow protector (separate review is written for the encasement). The pillow protector is made from the same material as the mattress protector and mattress encasement, which is a thin soft cotton terry material. It's very well made and I don't anticipate any issues down the road. We have washed it several times and it held up and seals up with a zipper. Once it applied it can't be noticed while sleep and it's not hot like the vinyl ones. We continue to purchase Luna products for different beds and are very happy we found this company. Even made in the USA!

Comment: I had ordered two of the Luna Pillow Protectors and may order more. These are comfortable (unlike normal waterproof covers which are more plastic)and help protect the pillows from damage.
I highly recommend them to anyone who has problems with young children or pets who are having accidents in the bed or for those with allergies.

Comment: These pillow covers may or may not protect against dust mites, but I can tell you without a doubt, they are NOT waterproof.
If you are looking for water-proof pillow protectors, do NOT purchase this item.
I bought two because my son is still in diapers and leakage is always a problem. I was tired of washing his pillow (it is hard on them) and thought a water-proof cover would be a great solution. These are NOT AT ALL water-proof. As I had unpackaged, used and washed both of them by the time I discovered it . . . here I am.

Summary: Only one pillow case 2010-03-12
Comment: The pillow case fits the pillow well, makes no sound, is not hot or sticky, has been comfortable for sleep - overall very satisfactory. My only complaint is that I presumed there would be two cases per package. I could not find anywhere that said one or two pillow cases, and the cover of the package says cases (plural). Since most pillow cases come as a pair, I expected a pair. I initially thought the price was great, but it didn't seem nearly as good when I had to order two more cases: the reason for the three stars.
