MY PARENTS ARE VERY CONSERVATIVE AND DO EVERYTHING POSSIBLE TO CONSERVE ELECTRICITY. I BOUGHT THEM THIS ELECTRIC MATTRESS PAD FOR CHRISTMAS AND THEY FELL IN LOVE WITH IT. THEY NEVER WAKE UP COLD IN THE NIGHT AND ACTUALLY SAY IT HAS RELIEVED SOME OF THEIR BACK PAIN. THE CONTROLS HAVE BEEN ENGINEERED VERY WELL AND THE PAD IS VERY DURABLE. THIS WAS ONE OF THE TOP PRESENTS I HAVE BOUGHT FOR THEM NEXT TO THEIR FRONT LOADING WASHER AND DRYER. THIS PRODUCT IS PROOF THAT LUXURY AND CONSERVATION DO OVERLAP SOMETIMES. I WILL BE GIVING AS A GIFT TO OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS TOO.

Item fits perfectly on 15" deep memory foam mattress, with room to spare, sheets fit easily over it, product has the feel of a good mattress cover. Touch the preheat setting 30 minutes before bedtime warms the bed (not too much!) enough to make it cozy and help you get right to sleep comfortably. Adjustable controls are nice, and you can always bump up a notch or two in the morning when you hit the snooze button. Lowered room temp by 5 degrees with no complaints, definitely a winner. Totally unlike an electric blanket of the 1970's. No thick wires to feel (at all), includes automatic timer, and is very adjustable. Ordered two more for family members.
