Natura Organic Cotton-Filled Fitted Mattress Pad

I have allergies and sensitivities and was pleased to find this all organic cotton mattress pad for my new bed. After it got here, I washed it to make sure nothing would be there to cause a reaction. I took the pad (twin XL) to the laundromat and used the huge washer. I draped it over my chairs to dry, since the laundromats dryers have had dryer sheets used in them.
Last night I tried the pad for the first time and was sadly disappointed. It was hard and the cotton had pilled or matted or something to make it feel very bumpy instead of smooth. It was like sleeping on asphalt. I am going to toss this really expensive pad because neither my husband or I want to use it, it is that uncomfortable.
