Crib mattresses are normally quite firm and I just couldnt see our son sleeping on such a hard surface. The one inch foam topper adds just enough cushion to make the crib feel more comfy. Our son has no problems sleeping on it. Crib sheets fit fine over the topper and the mattress. It can get a lil tight in the corners, but I'd rather have taught crib sheets than not anyway. Topper is covered in a thin cotton-like material, much like how many other foam toppers are covered. We purchased the topper about a year prior to the posting of this review. The price has since exponentially risen! Would buy again if and when the price drops below $100.

Perfectly mimics my memory foam mattress..She seems to nap well now but unfortunately it has not lured her to stay in bed at night without wanting to sneak into my bed...This could be because we share the same room. I'm still happy with the product.

It's actually good brand, feels great, but so COSTLY. If i had the chance to buy another topper, i wouldn't recommend this one.
