If you are buying these for dust mites or allergies I guess it would be fine. But if you are buying to protect your bed from bed bugs forget about it. Within three day we checked and they were ripped in the corners and every time I look there are holes in them that I didn't notice before. The allergy luxe from bed bath and beyond is sooooo much better. Wish I didn't waste my money on these.

I should've listened to reviewers here & elsewhere. This boxspring encasement is totally flimsy - almost feels like it's made of paper towels. One of the twins of the two in our king package actually had a big tear in it already when we took it out of the packaging. What's scary is there could be other tiny holes that we didn't see that would make the covers completely worthless.

I did get the same company's MATTRESS (not boxspring) encasement in the smooth (not terry-cloth) fabric and it's very nice and very sturdy. Doesn't feel plasticy through the fitted sheet when you lay on it. I should've gotten that for the boxspring as well as people recommended but it's a bit more money so I thought I could save a few $$ and get the actual boxspring one. STUPID mistake.

Also you have to cover every possible sharp surface of the bedframe with felt and they don't give you much so if you do buy this make sure you have some adhesive-backed felt at home to augment the couple...Read more

I got the box spring covered with the encasement very easily but when I grabbed the side to adjust it on the bed frame the fabric ripped. So be careful when handling the box spring with this encasement.
