We've designed an electric mattress pad that not only warms your bed, but also protects and rejuvenates it. The waterproof 233-thread count 80-percent poly/20-percent cotton dobby stripe decorative shell is incredibly soft and soothing. A special TPU Laminate waterproof barrier and Stain Repellent Scotchgard Finish protects against spills and accidents of all types, but that's just a couple of the wonderful features of this pad. Constructed within the pad is the patented Safe and Warm low-voltage technology. This low-voltage mattress pad includes a small power supply box that changes 120-volt AC home current into non-hazardous low-voltage DC current (very similar to a battery) to provide warmth, protection and safety even if the pad becomes wet. Unlike other warming pads with their thick bulky wires, the wires in the Serta pads are so small and thin; they are virtually unnoticeable. During construction we place the thin wires 3-inch apart and evenly distribute them from head to toe. The benefit to you is a pad that gives more of an even heat and has no annoying hot or cold spots. The full size pad comes standard with one easy to read, easy to turn, non-slip computerized controller to adjust the temperature of the pad. A giant backlit display with auto dimming feature provides more convenience for night time adjustments with out having to turn on the lights. For cozy sheets before bed time, it has an automatic pre-heat and hold feature. You simply turn it on and the pad will warm up on HI until it reaches the temperature that you pre set your dial on and then adjusts itself to hold it there. For your safety, convenience and power conservation it has an automatic shut off feature that will shut the pad off after 10-hour just in case you forget. It also comes standard with built in over temperature protection for that extra bit of safety and peace of mind. A fitted skirt keeps it all in place to eliminate shifting or bunching and gives better sheet fit.

It's safer and still works great. I bought it for my 6 year olds bed since I keep it pretty cool in the house at night. I tried it out first to see what temperature setting to have it on and how well it worked. I keep in on 6 and it is poetry warm and nice and even heat. I like the automatic shut off after 10 hours too cuz sometimes mornings are hectic and I don't have to worry about remembering to shut it off. I highly recommend this product.

I bought this mattress pad for my elderly mother who is slways cold and has recently had health problems. She doesn't like heavy blankets, but keeps a down blanket on her bed year round, and still gets cold. She'd get up in the middle of the night and turn the heat up. The mattress pad is perfect, she puts it on a low setting and with the blanket stays warm and cozy all night! She loves it! Waterproof doesn't hurt either.

I've had mattress pads in the past that had huge wires in them. They had to warm up for what felt like hours before they were comfortable.

This mattress pad is great! My husband can control his side of the bed and I can control mine. We tend to keep the heat on the lower side because after a while a 2 can feel like a 10. I can't imagine having the heat on 10 all night!

We sleep with a child at night that occassionally has accidents which is why i wanted the waterproof pad. She wet the bed a few days ago and it didn't really get soaked into the pad. Like other reviewers said it kinda stayed on top and soaked into the blankets.

It was very easy to wash on the delicate cycle and is now back on the bed!

I don't know what we did before this mattress pad! I love it!
