Summary: Pretty good warmer, not a good mattress pad 2010-07-26
Comment: I bought this because I was tired of crawling into a cold bed. When I first put it on and turned it on it seemed pretty weak just on the back of my hand even at full strength. I was a little disappointed but when I crawled into bed after about 10 minutes it felt like I was sleeping 10 feet from the sun. This sucker does put out some decent heat.
One problem I did have with it is the mattress pad seems very uncomfortable. I had to put my old mattress pad on top of it before I could sleep on it. The wires running up and down the blanket make it very hard to sleep on for me.
Also it should be noted that the controls on this are very basic. It's just high to low and on/off and that's it. This isn't a knock but when it seems the product description is very basic it's because the product is very basic. I'm not counting off for that of course but I thought it was worth noting.

Summary: better than I expected 2010-05-28
Comment: The wire is the longest among all I've ever bought (more than five heated mattress pad).
Heats quickly. Even off keeps warm because the cloth used is good quality.

Comment: I'll attempt to keep this short... I got THIS model a few weeks ago as a warrenty swap from one I got from Amazon/Target 4+ years ago.
The 1st one was $100+ (queen/2 controls). Loved it. Being my own 'other' the other was a higher temp than other. (roll to suit).
One other quit. On a whim I inquired about warrenty... A couple quick email rounds based on needed data to Sunbeam... An OK to return... ($20).
A month later, and this arrives!!
Even if you spend $50-60 USD for one cold season... It is worth it...
Fast, low energy, totally silent. Put a good blanket on top and your good to go.

Comment: I love this product. It has two separate controls and I just put it on low for a few minutes and get into a nice warm bed. It fits well on the mattress and is very comfortable.

Summary: What a great buy! 2010-04-24
Comment: This electric mattress pad is an excellent buy. I had previously bought a Sunbeam twin-size pad for my teenage son whom has back problems and he loves it. The queen-size comes with two controllers which is great if you need two settings for say, two people with different heating requirements.
Even at the 'L' or low setting, you will feel toasty, especially if you have cold feet. Still, the heat is evenly distributed. I say this because so many times (say with heating blankets), your torso may be warm but your feet seem to get the short end of the deal.
Also, this pad has deep pockets to fit deep mattresses. Another plus.
The price is excellent too. I highly recommend this product.
