These are great mattress pads. They don't make any noise when the kids move around at night. I even wash them in hot water and they don't shrink.

Mine didn't have the animal shapes, instead it has a wavy diamond pattern. That is really no problem, as it is not visible under my regular fitted sheet anyway. It has a very deep pocket, with enough material for the thickest pillow top mattress. It fits the full top of my mattress, so you shouldn't get any leak-arounds onto your mattress. The fleece coating absorbs the whole "leak", and it is machine washable. They make very little crinkle noise when the kids move around. Overall, I am very pleased.

I bought this for my toddler's bed after he stopped wearing diapers just in case he had any accidents. It does what its suppose to at keeping the mattress dry. It doesn't make that awful crinkle sound when you get in bed either. Only problem was after one wash it began to separate from the seems where the pad and the skirt part are connected. But it wasn't much of a surprise considering the price. If I wasn't handy with my sewing machine I'd probably be more upset about it but after a quick restich it's fine.
