I actually had a shower curtain wrapped around my two year olds bed before I found this product. And I think a mattress cover is great for anyone who has a bedwetting toddler. That said, I didn't tear it putting it on the mattress, but it tore beneath the fitted sheet while my son was sleeping. These are extremely thin. Much more thin than my cheap shower curtain as well. I bought 2. I have taped the tears together with duct tape and the more my two sons sleep on their respective mattresses the more tears I get. Soon the whole thing will likely be duct taped on there. UGH!!

Its basically a shower curtain liner with a zipper, ( The shower curtain liners I buy at the dollar tree are thicker than this!)its so thin it riped as I was carefully putting it on the mattress. Wouldn't recommend purchasing!!

I didn't have the same problem that the other reviewer had. I was able to fit this around my extra plush twin mattress and it fit perfectly. Maybe the other reviewer was rough with it when putting it on? It is just an extra layer of protection so that when my toddler has accidents it will protect the mattress. The cover is a thin vinyl but I didn't expect a really thick vinyl for the price and it works just fine unless you have a toddler that is especially rough when he/she sleeps. I also use the Handy Plus pad with this so that nothing leaks through to the mattress. They are amazing and can be found on Amazon also.
